From that moment on, his popularity grew, with a turning point following the publication of his self-titled debut album, as it did not reach number one in the British charts until almost a year after its release (which fascinated many critics). nor did he bet on an entry in the alternative lists).<\/p>\n<p>The band&#039;s undisputed leader, Matty Healy, aimed at that time to become the rebellious prodigy of the independent Anglo-Saxon scene, measuring 1&#039;60, thin and with curly hair on his face, bony from smoking more than eating. However, the adjective \u201cprodigy\u201d accompanies his name, because, after a successful tour of America between 2013 and 2014, he knew how to close the ranks of the group and give himself and his companions time to reflect on what they really wanted to be. as artists.<\/p>\n<p>This means that two years later, the band has fully returned to the music scene with their second studio album. <em>I like it when you sleep, because you are so beautiful, but so unaware of it<\/em>, a much smoother album rhythmically speaking, with more pop touches, less guitars, but with a feeling of greater maturity and training on the part of the four musicians. Despite this, the band&#039;s new turn to Gucci suits and pink lights rather than black backgrounds earned them numerous award nominations and industry critical acclaim, with their second album being named Best Album of the Year by Rolling Stone.<\/p>\n<p>Healy carried out the same withdrawal strategy at the end of 2016, and in the middle of this year the band broke out again with <em>Give yourself a chance<\/em>a song that returns to the band&#039;s original sound with a new aesthetic and a voice much more grounded in current issues such as suicide prevention, acceptance of our bodies or a study of relationships <em>online<\/em> that seem to flood this entire new generation and, therefore, the group&#039;s new work.<\/p>\n<p>After this first <em>single<\/em>the British released up to 4 other promotional singles for their new work, <em>A brief investigation into online relationships<\/em>, which already has a publication date, next November 30th.
