The next edition of the Primavera Sound festival, taking place in June at Cidade do Rock in Arganda del Rey, will feature a regional investment of 850 thousand euros to reinforce the image and tourist attraction of the sector's relevant international markets for the region.

This was advanced by the Community of Madrid in a statement, where they recalled that The next edition of Primavera Sound will be the first with two Spanish venues: Barcelona, ​​where it has been held since 2001, and the Community of Madrid, the new host.

Specifically, from June 5th to 11th, Cidade do Rock, located in the city of Arganda del Rey, will be the main stage of the Madrid eventwhich will also have activities spread across different parts of the capital.

More than 300,000 participants are expected (85,000 daily in the Argandeño complex and 60,000 in other spaces) and 200,000 overnight stays in the region, with an average cost for foreign participants of 1,200 euros over the 3 days of the festival. 50% of this festival's audience is international and comes mainly from the United Kingdom (32%) and the United States (14%), with an average age of 29 years old.

What is more, They guarantee that the economic impact derived from the public present will mean a great repercussion in the media of the Community of Madridas the organizers will make an investment of around 1.5 million euros in media and special actions to promote the Madrid event and at the same time the image of the region, with more than 4,000 requests from the press.

The Ministry's participation in this event implies concrete considerations in favor of the Community of Madrid in terms of brand presence both on the festival website, with more than 5 million unique visitors per year; also on your social networks, with a reach of 355 million during the festival and 852 million impressions; and in its newsletter, with more than 415,000 subscribers internationally.

On the other hand, Tourism promotion content will be produced and distributed for the Community of Madrid in various formats and through different channels, with collaborations with specialized artists and opinion makers. A tourist agenda will also be created for the week of the festival.

Furthermore, under the agreement, The Community of Madrid will have its own stage for local bands in the fan zone that will be installed at the Cívitas Metropolitano football stadium, which will be the connectivity node between Madrid and Arganda del Rey, and another space will be dedicated to it in the Rock City.

More than 200 presentations

Cidade do Rock, which is around 40 kilometers from the center of the capital, will host more than 200 performances spread across 10 stagesbut in addition, more than 10 emblematic venues in Madrid will have programming through the Madrid en Vivo association, and Cívitas Metropolitano will become a fan zone and stage for the opening day, where a high-level show and free programming will be offered.

The artistic program includes several genres, with artists such as Blur, Halsey, New Order, Kendrick Lamar, Depeche Mode, Rosalía and Calvin Harris, who will work at both headquarters. Likewise, activities will be carried out for music industry agents.

Furthermore, the mayor of Arganda del Rey, Guillermo Hita (PSOE), already announced a few weeks ago that Argandeños will have a “20% discount” on concert tickets for the next Primavera Sound festival.
