The Museo Reina Sofía organizes an exhibition project by artists Pauline Boudry and Renate Lorenz at the Palácio de Cristal from October 7th to April 9th that delves into the past, transparency, the characteristics of the building, and contemporary violence.
Pauline Boudry (Lausanne, Switzerland, 1972) and Renate Lorenz (Berlin, Germany, 1963) are two authors who have worked together since 2006. They stand out for producing film installations that review recent and past materials to analyze critical history, the image and movement photography. Furthermore, in recent years, they have focused their attention on issues that are very much in vogue today, such as cultural heritage, gender discourses and queer theory.

His works question the normativity of traditional narratives, as well as the conventions associated with the spectator, generating new scenarios to reimagine them later. To do this, they use all types of artistic styles, from film, dance or installation to sculpture or performance.
His pieces have been seen in art galleries such as the Kunsthalle in Zurich (Switzerland), the Kunsthalle in Vienna (Austria), the Van Abbemuseum in Eindhoven (Netherlands) or the Contemporary Arts Museum in Houston (United States). They also represented Switzerland at the 58th edition of the Venice Biennale in 2019 with the installation Moving Backwards, which can currently be seen at the CA2M Museum as part of the Portrait of a Movement exhibition dedicated to women artists.
