Professional film debut feat (1978), and since then has participated in other feature films such as Game of Roosters (1979); play like the eighties are oursby Ana Diosdado, and Dom Mendo's revengeby Pedro Muñoz Seca; and TV series such as Half Orangeby Jesus Yague. To ask: Do you think Almudena Grandes would be satisfied with the final result of the series?

To respond: I've already seen the first chapter of the series, because they showed it at the cinema, and the truth is that everyone was enchanted. The production of the series is stupendous, it is very careful, you can see that there is a very large and very professional production behind. Anyway, I want to say that we all expected the best from the series, but I didn't see it. What I saw, which is one chapter, is certainly great.

Q: Do you think that in the future it will be possible to take all novels from Episodes of an endless war to the audiovisual genre?

A: Yes, I believe that this will not be the last book by Almudena Grandes to be made, it is very likely that they will bring another because it is also always a kind of problem very social, a lot that affects the whole world It is very losers also. I think more books will be made and will be made, I don't know, maybe even movies or whatever, they don't have to be series. Although now the series is already very distilled.

Q: Your two sons are entering the acting profession, how do you see the future of this field of entertainment?

A: I already told you that it is very complicated, we are getting more and more and there is a lot of talent, a lot of youth and highly prepared people. What you have to do is take it very seriously, work hard, fight hard and have a little luck too.

Q: Your son Lucas has participated in several musicals, have you ever thought about working in this area?

A: Yes, the musical is very beautiful, but you have to have the opportunity, it's complicated. I sing, but I'm not a singer either. We leave it where I sing. But there are people who also sing wonderfully well, you see people out there who say “mother of beautiful love, how do you sing like that?”. Gifted by nature and, of course, I would like to do a musical, but with little singing (laughs).

Q: Regarding your passion for photography, do you have any projects coming up?

A: With photography I have some things, projects, we are going to do one Photo album and another is a exhibition, which I still can't talk about until the 24th. The book is mainly about photographs, based on photos I take of my colleagues, makeup, things like that. Now I'm making a selection of photos.

Q: And in sculpture?

A: I have the sculpture very still, because for sculpture you need a workshop and I don't have space. Before I had a room at home, then you have a child, you run out of space and you have to choose. I had my process with sculpture, which I never say I won't return to, but I've been out of action for many years, I have a lot of my sculptures at home.

Q: Would you like to see them in an exhibition?

A: Yes, I've already had some exposure. I did one in Fuenlabrada of photography and sculpture a few years ago and the two things were integrated. It was very good, I was very satisfied.

Q: If you had to choose between cinema and theater, what would you do for the rest of your career?

A: Everything has its pros and cons, for me in theater the direct contact with the public it seems wonderful to me. Now that I'm with Love is forever, the series, for example, you've been doing series for a long time and want to do theater, you've been doing theater for a long time, you want to do a film or you want to do something with images. In this profession it is cool to change, there is the possibility of changing your environment and moving to another way to oxygenate you, to trigger a very similar continuous way of working, and suddenly you enter another phase, which is also great. I wouldn't know how to choose, it's true that above all in my life what I've done most is theater. My modus vivendi It's been theater. Now I have a long season with series too, but what I have always worked on above all else is theater.

Miramón will play the character Basilio Rodríguez in the RTVE series Dr. Garcia's Patients, which will air this spring. It is an adaptation of the novel of the same name by Almudena Grandes.
